PRE-REQUISITIES FOR
OUR CLASSES

Before joining certain classes at GravityWorks, students need a foundation of strength, technique, and body awareness to ensure safe and successful training. Our prerequisites are designed to help you enter each level feeling confident, prepared, and ready to grow.

PRE-REQUISITES

FABRIC CLASSES

  • No experience is required for this Level! You can take this class as many times as you need in order to get to Level 2. No aerial or strength needed to join, you gain those by signing up!

  • To join Level 2 you need to:

    • Confidently do a figure-8 Footlock on the ground

    • Can confidently do one Overwrap and one Underwrap Climb

    • Are able to hold a Strong Platform

    • Hip Key theory (wrap on ground)

    • Inversions from a knot on the ground

  • To join Level 3 you need to:

    • Climb two climbs in Overwrap and Underwrap

    • Can hang with straight arms for a few seconds

    • Can Double Footlock from the ground

    • Can confidently hang in the Koala

  • To join Intermediate Level 1 you need to:

    • Overwrap and Underwrap climb (more than one) with straight arm and bent arm hang, and unwrap before descending from climb

    • Hipkey from the ground

    • Footlock, Double Footlock and Double Dance wrap from the air

    • Straddle Inversions from the floor

PRE-REQUISITES

SLING CLASSES

  • It is recommended to take at least one Beginner Fabric Level 1 class before joining this sling class.

    Being able to invert from the ground and having good balance standing on the fabric will be helpful before joining this class.

  • To join Level 2 you need to:

    • Comfortably do inversions from the ground

    • Know fundamental positions such as Bow and Arrow, Stomach Balance, Hipkey, Crochet and how to transition in and out of them

    • Develop standing skills

    • Developing spinning skills

    • Safely come in and out of Pullover

    • Single leg Roll Up

    • Able to safely do skills on the poles such as footlocks with an understanding of knee hooks on the poles
